Finding whales requires respect. Be cautious when approaching sperm whales or humpback whales, as they can be quite curious and even approach the boat!
We'll begin at 6a.m., just before the sun rises, for an incredible journey along Mauritius' west coast. The refreshing morning breeze and the initial sunlight of sunrise create an exquisite atmosphere as we set sail to observe the gigantic whales called sperm whales that live within these crystalline waters.
After some tranquil getting around, we'll arrive in the territory of these amazing massive beings. Seeing these stunning species in their native surroundings is an incredibly breathtaking experience. We'll have an exceptional chance to observe their graceful motions and possibly hear their distinctive sounds, creating a moment of harmony with these magnificent marine mammals. Each dawn, as the first light touches the Indian Ocean, wild dolphins glide gracefully along the west coast of Mauritius. They come to play, to rest, and to connect — a rare, intimate spectacle of nature’s harmony. Two species grace these waters: the curious bottlenose dolphin and the joyful spinner dolphin. On most mornings, you’ll meet one or the other, yet sometimes — with a touch of ocean magic — both appear together, dancing through the waves in perfect rhythm.
To experience this wonder in the gentlest way, we set out early — 6 AM — when the sea is calm and serene. You’ll spend 60 to 90 minutes observing and swimming alongside them, sharing the same waters in a moment of pure connection.
